Questions players ask
What is Whist with Twists?
A free online trick-taking card game for 2, 3 or 4 players. It plays like Rung, Court Piece, Hokm and classic Whist — follow suit, trump beats every other suit, most hands wins the round — with new twists on top: Hidden Trump, Undeclared Trump, Double Trick, the Ace Rule and Weapons.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free to play in your browser, with nothing to download. Tap Play now and you are dealt in as a guest — no sign-up, no form. Create an account whenever you like (13+) to keep your coins, boxes and match history on any device; everything you earned as a guest carries over.
Is this the same game as Rung, Court Piece or Hokm?
It is the same family. Rung (also called Court Piece or Coat Piece), Hokm and Whist all share the core: 13 cards each, a trump suit called after the first five cards, follow suit, and courts for taking all thirteen hands. Play a Standard round with Single Trick and it feels like the game you grew up with. The twists are optional variants you choose before each match.
Can I play with friends online?
Yes. Open a private table, then share its six-letter code or an invite link on WhatsApp or anywhere else. Friends join from the link in their browser, and bots take any empty seats. You can also play public tables with other players, or play against bots at four difficulty tiers.
How many players can play?
Two, three or four. Two players play a head-to-head Duel with 26 cards left in the deck; three play a Battle, everyone for themselves; four play in two teams of two, partners sitting opposite. Matches are three rounds, or seven in an Epic War.
What are Weapons?
One special move per round that bends the rules: change the trump with the Lance, replace a card with the Dagger, seize an opponent’s card with the Arrow, redraw your whole hand with the Cannon, or trade with your partner with the Crossed swords. Defences answer back — the Shield takes a seized card back and the Banner reinstates a changed trump. Weapons are switched on or off when you set up a game, and you win them from mystery boxes and the lucky draw.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — it runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers. Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen like an app. Native apps for the App Store and Google Play are on the way, with the same account and coins.
